INTERNAL CAVITY PRESSURE MONITORING | OPTIMAL MOLD FILLING
DESMA USA has an on-site demonstration laboratory that houses DESMA machines, tooling, and requisite test equipment. Customers often use this, along with our engineering expertise, to run tooling and material trials to fine-tune processes for next steps.
Our latest trial was a perfect example of DESMA’s advanced process development. Utilizing technologies like cavity pressure monitoring (PressureSense https://lnkd.in/dN2ZBZhv), DESMA engineers coordinated with Kistler Group representative Adam Nartker to assist. By using the Kistler ComoNeo process monitoring system, the DESMA DRC 2030 machine control, and PressureSense cavity sensors, the team monitored and analyzed individual cavity pressure readings throughout the multi-day event. All test feedback formed the basis for the next steps with the customer regarding mold design and machinery requirements (e.g., injection pressure).
