MAXIMUM CYCLE EFFICIENCY | POSITION SENSOR TOOLING
DESMA injection equipment uses non-contact-based position sensors to move tooling plates. Position sensor accuracy enables the hydraulic system to be programmed with a ramp or “profile” that maximizes cycle efficiency while safeguarding tooling from damage.
The video shows the importance of these ramps by providing accurate feedback within .01 mm. The same position sensor is also used to control an ejector kit incorporated into the mold base, which separates mold cores that aid in product demolding.
When coupled with DESMA NAMC (North American Manufacturing Center) designed and built tooling, our production systems can be set up for optimal operator or automation access.
Repeatability of these non-contact-based position sensors using DESMA DRC control systems is the hallmark of DESMA.
